OneTabNinja – Jump & Dash devlog 1

I recently decided to develop and release a android game again, I already tried some games in the past, where my experience in game design was much lower and they failed significantly. Most of my development time I concentrate on unity assets for other game developers ( if you are interested) and 2 weeks ago I decided to try a real game again.

I was curious if it is still possible to release a successful game by buying a template on the asset store, do some minor changes at the design and programming and release it to the store. Don’t get me wrong, I have some great ideas for real games made entirely by myself, but they need time to develop, with this game I wanted to get experience in the process of shipping a final game to the market and get information how hard it really is to get downloads for your apps, so that, I hope in the near future, I have some information if it is still possible to publish by yourself or if I should concentrate on getting a publisher for my serious projects.

With this blog I want to give you information how the game is doing on android, which decisions I made during development and for marketing purposes and what the plans are for the future of this app.
